Title: 1559 will -help with one word needed
Post by: Edward Scott on Friday 12 January 18 11:01 GMT (UK)
My immediate reaction to the underlined word was wyfes and the following words indicate that she was married at least twice before this husband died.

However it actually looks more like wynes and would appreciate others thoughts

many thanks

Edward

Hi

I think it says "wyves".

If you compare it with the word gyve the third letter looks the same  ie a v.  It also makes sense in the context of the following words.

When I have been reading wills or old documents for a while my eyes fail to see things too :)
