Post by: westcoastie on Sunday 14 January 18 23:43 GMT (UK)
Looking for someone's biological parents who was adopted in the early 1940's in Massachusetts.
Is their anyway to find this info?
Thanks.

Have a read on this link - Access to adoption records

All adoption paperwork held by the court is not available to the public, unless a judge orders otherwise. An adopted person may not see his adoption court files about his biological parents without proving to the court that there is a good reason to do so. Placement agencies can only release certain information to an adopted person, adoptive parent, or biological parent.

If the person is living, they may be able to get non-identifying information about the biological parents from the adoption agency that was used.

Autosomal DNA testing of this person or any biological descendants may lead to the names of the biological parents.
