I'm viewing on a small screen but for starter he was Mentioned in Dispatches and would have had an oak leaf on his Victory medal .Emb stands for emblems or oak leaf
He would also be in the London Gazette due to the MID.

Hopefully others can add or I will do when get better view.

He also served in Army Service Corps and died of wounds
He was a Warrant officer 2nd class and oak leaf was issued in 1920

Thank you Ady and ScobieDrom.  I had no idea he was mentioned in dispatches. I now need to look at a map to find out where Karasouli is!  Thanks so much.

His Mention was gazetted on 20 July 1917.

The EM/1925 etc would be the listing in which his Emblem (Ady) was entered.
The hieroglyphics at the bottom are saying that Officer in charge of RASC records forwards (or has forwarded) nominal roll of individuals entitled to the Emblem 10 Apr 1920. - thus confirming the  the MID emblem.

https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30196/supplement/7455

If you go up to the top of the sheet where you see the page number 7455, arrow back to the beginning of the full list on page 7447 you will see that the MID was for service in Salonika.

His Commonwealth War Graves Commission entry is here, https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/623371/holmes,-henry/
scroll down to cemetery details and it tells you where it is if you haven't found it already.

At that time, his company was part of the 27th Divisional Train (the suppliers), it joined the division in January 1916.  The division were in Salonika until the end of the war

Thanks MaxD.  I'm pretty rubbish at finding entries on the Gazette so really appreciate the link.

I assume a CSM was quite an important/responsible role an he was only 23 when he died.

Thanks again.

Company Sergeant Major is indeed an important role. You might like to read some of this Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_sergeant_major
