Post by: Curley on Wednesday 07 February 18 10:11 GMT (UK)
Hi All
Elizabeth Creighton, wife of William died on the 13 August 1906 in the district of Cahirmoyle,Co Limerick. Religion was Church of Ireland and her husband was a land steward.I presume he must have worked on some estate in that area.
Registration of death is in Irish Genealogy, district Rathkeale.Limerick
Looking for a possible burial place for Elizabeth.
Many Thanks
Curley

1901 census shows a William Creighton, a Land Steward, his wife Elizabeth and family in Seacon, Co Tyrone - all listed as having been born in Tyrone.  See
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Seacon/Ballincree_More/942245/

Is this the same family and if so, have you checked Tyrone for Elizabeth's burial place.

Cheers

Yes this is the much travelled William.
1911 census finds him and some of family in Monaghan, spelling of name is Crighton.Later gets married in Carlow in 1913.
No sign of any burial in Tyrone.William actually died in Monaghan.
Thanks for looking
Curley
P.S Most of the history of this family is contained in a topic in Carlow, under Annie Creighton, daughter of Wiliam who died in 1913.

Any chance this Creighton/Crighton thread has any base thru Donegal? You mentioned that William was well travelled. I have a Charles Creighton from Donegal [only info i have] who went to Gosforth in the North of England in early 1800's.
