Title: Thomas McKerrow Holt death Frankston Victoria 1980

Hi everyone,
I am not great with Australian research - and wonder if anyone can advise where I might find death notices re Thomas McKerrow Holt (middle name could be mistakenly "McCarrow").  I know for sure that he died about 21st October 1980, age 71 - have found the basic info on Vic. BMD - and also have found photo of gravesite (Cheltenham cemetery Victoria) on "Billiongraves" website.  His wife was Mary, and he had two sons Francis ( died 1992, - found grave also) - and T. (possibly still alive).  What I am actually looking for is something which will tell us more about his years in Victoria.  He was born in Scotland - was a boxer - (won Empire Medal in Canada in 1930) - married Mary in Scotland in 1945 - seems to have migrated to Australia ??year - and died in Frankston Vic.  Even just a "family death notice" might help - have tried "Trove" newspapers unsuccessfully... Anyone got any ideas?

I see Mary died in 1987. I can’t see any notices listed for them on Ryerson Index. As it is possible that other son is still alive, you need to remove his name from your post.

And the naa.gov.au gives their dates of birth  etc  for their migration under assisted passage migration scheme

Thanks for this -  this info is very helpful.  I really don't do enough Australian research to keep in mind the good places to look apart from Trove lolo..... We live and learn.

A Whitepages search indicates that there is still a Holt at the address given by Cando.
