Would anyone know when during the year the above roll was compiled?

Hi.

The election was Wednesday 30th November 1949.

Think print date would have been about a couple of weeks, before to allow distribution of the roll to polling places.

Not the best of guides, though as there are often to be found names that should have been culled from the roll, or new arrivals that did not get enrolled in time, for whatever reason.

Only have the closing dates for 1949 East Cape rolls.

- General (Main) roll - closed 5 September 1949

- Supplementary roll - closed 7 November 1949.
