Looking for information on James Care Wickham supposed to have been born in Kents 1904 - 1907. Have searched for a birth for him. His father's name may have been James as well. He came to Australian not sure of the year but he was in South Australia in 1839
-
Hi You have him born 1904- 1907 and in Australia 1839 :-\
-
Yes that is right. He was born in Kent, England in 1904-1907 approx.
-
Don't you mean 1804 if he arrived in 1839
-
If birth is 1804 ish then there is a baptism at St. Michael, East Peckham, Kent on 31 March 1805 of a James Wickham to James and Elizabeth Wickham. The parents appear to be James Wickham and Elizabeth Earstrong who married 25 April 1804 at Yalding, Kent.

Thankyou so much for that. Is there a way I can find out if either of these James Wickham's left England.
-
The only way of seeing if those James Wickham possibly left England is by trying to find them on later census or their deaths before census. They are not the only ones bn Kent around that time.

Thankyou for all your help with suggestions. I will check the census and also the deaths and see if I can find either one of the James Wickham with the father listed as James.
-
I have been swaying to the one who is a convict as he seems to likely fit the James Care Wickham in my family. Later descendants have reverted back and using Wickham as their surname here in Australia. I have checked different records and have not seen anyone withe the surname of Carewickham only Wickham.
Thankyou again for all your help.
