Title: Uploading Raw Data
Post by: SuzyWoo on Monday 26 February 18 20:19 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I have just received my DNA results back from Ancestry.co.uk and have it has come back with 114 matches at 4th cousins or closer which I am really pleased with.  I have heard that if I download the raw data it is possible to upload to other genealogical sites to possibly get more matches still.

Can anyone let me know which sites allow you to upload raw data and see matches that it creates.

Many Thanks

Sue

Also My Heritage and Family Tree DNA. You can also upload your trees to these sites

I would suggest you definitely upload to GEDMatch (free) as it allows upload of data from a number of different DNA testing companies greatly increasing your match possibilities not to mention those of people who do not test with Ancestry.  You can also upload a tree to GEDMatch.
Christine.

You'll need to use this tool to format your file for FamilyTreeDNA.
