Hi Yasi,
You can search the NSW BDM free http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/family-history.aspx You can use wildcards
You can also search an index of death notices http://ryersonindex.org/search.php
It seems that you know about some of the girls' marriages if you found their death date ...? Is that right? If you see a death notice in ryerson's for the Sydney Morning Herald then we can probably post a death notice for you.
You can look for probate packets here https://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ (Just type full name into main search box). If you find any then I can photograph for you next time I am there. Probate packets *should* contain a death cert, a will, details and locations of heirs etc

Trying to look for Mary Jane
mary jane andrews born 12th july 1863 breconshire wales, died 1939, maitland nsw, mary jane co uld have been o'conner or o'connor
Was her birth surname Andrews? And her married name was McMahon? The O'Connor surname - did she marry after Patrick's death?
Judith
-
since found out Mary was an O'Conner
or O'Connor when she married Patrick Michael McMahon, she did remarry a Frederick Andrews in 1902
-
Mary Jane's records from NSW BMD - you may already have these
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/family-history.aspx
Marriage - Patrick listed as MACMAHON, Mary's initial shown as "I"
1880 #3779, registered at Maitland
Patrick MACMAHON, Mary I O'CONNOR
Some of the children are registered as MACMAHON, for example Mildred has two entries on the Birth index, one MacMahon, one McMahon (same reg number)
Later marriage:
1902 #7447 registered at Paterson
Frederick ANDREWS, Mary J MCMAHON; another index entry with same number gives surname as MACMAHON
Death
1939 # 28187, registered at West Maitland
Mary June ANDREWS, Parents: James, Rosanna
Death Notice, 19 December, 1939 for Mary Jane ANDREWS (of Hilldale), wife of Frederick ANDREWS, to Catholic cemetery, Campbell's Hill. (Maitland)
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/135450811
austcemindex has a photo of her grave:
http://austcemindex.com/inscription?id=1382167#images
I'm not seeing her before the 1880 Marriage; cannot locate a birth for her in Breconshire in 1863. Could she have been married previously, although the headstone says nee O'Connor so it seems unlikely.

NSW Electoral Roll 1902, THE HUNTER, polling at Paterson
Frederick ANDREWS, Wallarobba, wine-shop keeper
Mary Jane ANDREWS, Fernvale, domestic duties
JM
-
could it be mary jane was born in Australia and not in England ,
-
From the 1902 marriage .... what info is recorded about the bride ... it should include her origins, age, nee name, parents etc. Official transcriptions of NSW certs are reliable family history docs.
JM
-
thank you will search out the certificates
-
The 1902 official transcript would be my choice because the 1880 one may not have the fuller details.
JM
-
You should also be able to glean Mary Jane's origins from the official transcriptions of the NSW birth certs of her children, but those birth documents won't give you info about her parents.

At the online index for NSW BDM, there's two reference numbers under 'births' that may be of interest.
One is for an Early Church Record, ie of a baptism for a baby named as Mary Jane, with her parents as James & Rosanna CONNOR. This is for a baptism in 1863, found in Volume 121B at line 3773.
The other is for a civil registration of a birth, for a Female (no Christian name given), with parents as James & Rosanna CONNOR, birth registered Paterson District of NSW. Reference no. 11849. This entry on that INDEX drills down to 12 July 1863.
I notice that Judith already mentioned that the 1939 death registration for Mary Jane ANDREWS has her parents as James and Rosanna. :) See reply #15
could it be mary jane was born in Australia and not in England ,
Indexes are helpful hints, but you should consider obtaining the official transcriptions to confirm/validate your research or at least eliminate some of the possibles... :)

:) :) :) look at the location .... speculative, but ... ;D
NSW ER 1870 THE PATERSON

thank you still have a lot to learn doing family history
-
Brilliant finding, JM :D
Looks as though the Brecon is in NSW not in Wales
Jen Willetts site mentions in her Hunter place names:
Brecon Farm - Paterson
https://www.jenwilletts.com/hunter_valley_place_names_B.html
And another mention of Brecon near Vacy here:
Paddy Slavin, Heavyweight Champion (boxing), was born at Brecon near Vacy in 1861
https://williamsvalleyhistory.org/sport/
This may be the death of Mary Jane's mother as there is no other death for anyone of the same name in NSW from 1863 to 1945
Death 1910, #12331 registered at Armidale
Rosanna O'CONNOR, parents: Patrick, Kate
Given the possible death of the mother registered in Armidale perhaps this is her father's death. I stress that this is very speculative.
NSW death 1902 #8253, registered Armidale
James O'CONNOR
A mention of this man's death here

http://www.patersonriver.com.au/people/index.html and under 'p' there's Paterson electoral rolls for 1870, 1878, 1903. :)
and

under places, Brecon is referred onto Bucknell

JOHN MCMAHON
supposed birth date 1883
to Patrick Michael McMahon and Mary Jane O'Connor/Andrews
trying to find any thing on him or was he a part of the family
-
Hi,
If you cannot locate a birth registration for your John McMahon at the NSW BDM online index, then perhaps you can check if he is noted on the birth registration for any of his younger siblings? Full transcriptions by Official Transcribers will include all the info on NSW BDM registrations. :)
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/family-history.aspx
NSW BDM's website shows that the birth rego includes:
:) Full name, sex, date and place of birth.
:) Mother's details - full name and maiden name, age, occupation, place of birth.
:) Father's details - full name, age, occupation, place of birth.
:) Date and place of parents' marriage.
:) Previous children of the relationship. (often by name and age if then living, or just gender if already succumbed)
JM :)

There is a probate packet for Mary Jane ANDREWS at NSW state archives

Also, on Patrick's 1898 NSW death cert (official transcription), it should include a list of the children of his marriage ... Is John named there? (if so, it is safe to assume that he was still alive at that time, aged about 15 or so, perhaps still living at home, but already working). Who was the informant ... if Mary Jane, then I suggest the info about the children of that marriage would be reliable, as she would be their mum ;) .
:)

Hi,
I wonder if perhaps you have received some NSW BDM transcriptions that have resolved the dilemma you found re your John?
