Hello, I'm looking for some help please regarding a birth date for Ruby Olive Moore (married name Edwards). Parents James Walter Moore (b 1865 Tasmania) and Jessie Maria Moore (Chalmers) (b1865 England). I believe she was born around 1900 as her Record of Death states she was 46 years at death (DOD 23/3/1948). She was residing at Ouse Tasmania when she passed. Husband Albert Edwards married 16/9/1921 at 69 Goulburn Street Hobart. They had 2 children Allan and Dorothy. Thanking you.

Thank you for such a quick response.
Unfortunately, Olive b1897 @ Evandale, was Ruby Olive Moore's sister who died in infancy. Other siblings were Ethel Clara b1893, Jessie Grace b1891, Walter Colin b1900, and Winifred b1903. I understand Ruby Olive was born after Olive.

There are no more births on the Linctas site for Ruby Olive, are you sure she was born in Tas?

I believe they were all born in Tasmania as Walter was a farmer at Beulah. I thought for a while that maybe Olive and Ruby Olive were one and the same but have been told that they are not. Unfortunately I am going on other people's information as this is my father's mother's family and I was raised by my mother in Victoria and never knew any of them. I DNA match this Moore family and have found all but one of the other siblings birth notices. She was Ruby Olive Moore per the Tasmanian Federation Index results records for her marriage to Albert Edwards and the birth of her son in 1918. I have also seen a public trustee document where she is noted as Ruby Olive Edwards (dec) in 1960.

Seems Walter went from Queechy (Launceston) to Beulah and spent his married life on the farm there. Jessie migrated from England to Tasmania in 1887.

Thanks so much Jamjar that confirms what I have for them :). Olive was born at Evendale so perhaps she's buried somewhere around there.

I think the following would eliminate the above Ruby MOORE :) as Ancestry has uploaded the digitised images of many of the parish registers of the Sydney Diocese. There’s a marriage there for a Ruby MOORE, born Wagga, NSW to Walter and Maria:
My transcription:
51 married C of E, St Andrews, Summer Hill by Rev Norman Fox.
14th June 1930 William GRAHAM, labourer, of Ashfield, NSW, Bachelor, born Charleville, Queensland, aged 38, and Ruby MOORE, domestic, of Summer Hill, NSW, spinster, born Wagga Wagga, N.S. Wales, aged 33, parents as Walter MOORE and Maria WATERS, he a retired storekeeper.
I think that would match up with the NSW BDM birth registered Wagga for Ruby C MOORE, and I can confirm that there’s further info at Ancestry to show she was baptised C of E as Ruby Catherine MOORE
