I am looking for any info on my wifes ancestors-Rhys Williams & Mory Morgan. Have some info on Mary ie her home was Llwyn bedw farm Ystradgynlias. Cant find anything concrete on rhys.Can anyone help.

Have you got any dates, parents, children, etc. as I sure there will be many Rhys Williams.

Kieth, According to 1901 census Mary was Born abt 1875, she Had a daughter Gwen at that time and was recorded as a widow ( incorrect) But cant find Rhys , apparently at this time they had split up and later reconciled and moved th australia. Hope this helps.Peter

Thanks for that Kieth, My wife tells me his full name was Howell Rhys/Reese Williams. Hope this is of use to find him. Also his side of the family is supposed to be connected to Loyd George on his mother's side. Thanks Peter.

My great grandfather was Morgan Morgan brother of Mary Morgan living in Llwynbedw Farm, Cwmgiedd, Ystradgynlais.

In 1911 there is a Howell Rees Williams age 41 b Neath, Wife Mary 37 b Brecon, children Gwenllian 13, Annie Mary 1, Phylis Letition and Rossina Maud living at Neath, Glamorgan.

Thank you will check my notes. Mary Morgan did emigrate to Australia along with two of her brothers. William Morgan, who settled in Perth and Evan Morgan.

Hi His name was Howell Rees Williams and Mary Morgan, they split up for about 8 years after Gwen was born (They were living with Howells parents and Mary had just finished washing the floor when William Williams emptied the bucket so she said Iam not staying here and went back to her parents ( this was told to me by my mother as told to her by Mary ( her grandmother). They moved to WA in 1912. Howell died after being gored by a bull in 1935. Mary died 1964. Mary went back to Wales in 1940s to see her family, Pricilla was her favourite sister and she gave her a plaque of a ship which was passed down to my mother.
