Hi,
I am trying to find any traces of William George Thomas Milton in Canada. He was born on 16 May 1893 in Brighton, Sussex to George Milton and Rose Plain. He married Edith Annie Spratt in 1918 in Somerset, England. They had one child, Gerald William Milton, in 1927. Sometime shortly thereafter William and Edith separated and he left for Canada. According to the LDS website he died on 30 Jan 1933. The source of the information is "Record of members, 1900?-1930; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Montreal District (Quebec)."
I am trying to find out anything about William once he arrived in Canada and would like to learn who registered his death.
Any ideas?

These films are very dark and hard to read, the disclaimer points out that some of the info may be incorrect. So even tho' the age might be a bit off, it might be worth a thought

Thanks. This looks like him. He left his wife sometime after his son was born in 1927 so the timeframe would work. As you point out, the age is a bit off, but perhaps the age is really 36 rather than 30 (if the films are difficult to read).

This is a long shot but are you still looking for information on William George Thomas Milton? I am related to Edith Annie Spratt who married him.

in Ontario Canada claiming he was a widower he married Gwendolyn Phyllis Lippiatt 30 April 1926 in Prescott Ontario.
States born Brighton Sussex, parents George Milton and Rose Plain.
Her parents Albert Ed Lippiatt and Florence Eliza Raggatt and she was born Avonmouth England.
a Frances Lippiatt was a witness.
So he left before his son was born as he was already remarried in 1926
He arrived in Canada 31 October 1923 age 30 destination Winnipeg Manitoba, he was going to work the harvest and intended to stay in Canada, states he is married and address in England was 15 Rutland Road, Hove Sussex.

Thank you for the post. We have tried to trace if WGT returned to UK 1926... there are no divorce records stated and he is named as father on sons birth certificate and as living in Bath, working as a commercial clerk.We understand he had a daughter with Gwendolyn, also in 1926,and do not wish to cause distress to either families.
