Title: JONES - Sheinton, nr Shrewsbury HELP
Post by: 1000xlch on Saturday 08 October 05 19:14 BST (UK)
Hi All

Have found a William Jones b1768 in Sheinton Shropshire, was an ag lab in 1841 married to Sarah (b1780 Bobbington, Staffs) circa 1801 and having children at Penn, Staffs, and tentative parents George Jones (circa 1748?) and Mary (circa1748?).  Cannot seem to trace George and Mary at all so am assuming eventually back to Wales?  Any help on this brick wall appreciated even if to say don't bother as is too difficult to trace.

Cheers

John Rowley

Hello John
Looked on IGI found this;
George Jones and Mary Mathews
Married 30/3/1760 Madeley Shropshire England.

Is Madely near to Sheinton?
That's how I work my Jone's out, could he have walked there and done his courting?  ;D and got home for supper ;D ;D ;D

Hi Jones the Search

Madeley is not too far away from Sheinton.  M is east of Broseley and Sheinton is west of Broseley.. Definitely possible.

Many thanks for the info.

Hi Pete

Thanks for the info.  I think this must be the right one so at least I now have another generation back.

Must now get the tree up and running for Christmas!
