Thanks again - I have decided to go with the date of the very early 1890s, based mainly on the particulars of the photographer,  and I believe I have now been able to identify the couple.

Thanks to Veronika, China and Jim for all their input. As Jim has stated Philip Lehmann was at 22 New Street, Mold in the 1890s - he could possibly be using old cardstock - but why would he have a stamp more typical of the 1860s ?  I have now attached a photo of presumably the gentleman's wife, showing the square corners of the card,  on the off chance that her dress could perhaps confirm either of the dates.

Please could I have some help with the date of this photo. As yet the subject is unidentified but an approximate date will give me a good starting point.  Thanks in anticipation.

To put it bluntly - without this website I would not have had a family tree !

I have looked at Vol 2 Meliden Parish Registers which covers Baptisms for the years 1716 - 1783.
There is a Robert Conway but he was baptized 25 Jan 1726 the son of John & Margaret and there was also a burial of Robert Conway son of John on 19 Feb 1728
Other Conways were John bap Nov 1721 son of John & Margaret of Prestatyn but buried 17 Nov 1721, Henry bap 30 June 1723 son of John & Margaret, John bap 3 Jan 1724 son of John & Margaret.
Then there is Paul bap 25 Jan 1729 son of Thomas & Catherine, Winifred bap 18 May 1732 daughter of Thomas & Catherine but buried 05 Mar 1733.

Sorry , but there was nothing around the 1750 date.
Regards - Margaret.

Thanks Jim and China for your very swift responses and helpful comments.

I am hoping to have access to the original within the next few days and will certainly post the reverse when this is received.

Many thanks for your help

The gentleman in this photo appears to be wearing a railway worker's uniform.

The most likely candidate is an ancestor who died in Holyhead in 1898 at the age of 45 yrs and at the time of his death was described as a Railway Goods Porter.

Please could the experts give their opinion as to the approx date of this picture to confirm whether the above facts would fit.

Regards - Margaret.
