Mother died in 1978.
Pauline.  Parents are there and a couple of siblings.
Just curious as to why this should be as I can't think of anyone in my family who would go to all the trouble & expense of opening my fathers entry.  Am I right in assuming that some entries prior to the 100 year deadline have been opened by the National Archives if a death entry has been found by them?

Census and Resource Discussion / 1939 Census. A Question

Hi,
Found both my late father & mother in 1939.  My question is, why my father born 1927 is visible but my mother, born 1924 is not  :-\

Technical Help / Viewing older Word documents.
« on: Wednesday 02 August 17 09:49 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Have new computer which is using Windows 10.  I want to transfer over from my old computer all of my Word documents via USB (think they were done on Windows 7) but not sure if I can open/edit the older docs with Windows 10.
Also, the new computer came without Word/excel etc,  so, by using Microsoft online Word/Excel can I open/edit/save these older Word documents or do I have to buy/install the office app?

Thanks Guys.  Some wonderful viewing there  :)
Upstairs, Downstairs, now there's a golden oldie, remember watching the original series, might be good to revisit that one!
Some that were mentioned I have seen.  Particularly liked the canal one with Pru Scales!

Are there any recent or 'now playing' programmes with a historical flavour that I might watch on YouTube or one of the I-players?
I've exhausted, Antiques Roadshow, Heir Hunters, Family Finders etc.  Just got Downton Abbey once a week now.  Need MORE  ;D

Yes, that was a long time ago  ;D  If you Google her name you'll get a lot of information!
Good luck Katrina,
