Hi
I am trying to find pictures of the electricity board houses that were on St Johns Street in Northampton from the 1950s to 1960s time.
My great grandparents lived in one and I have been trying to find a picture but have had no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful  :)

Sorry for the delay in replying, been pretty hectic over December.  This all seems to fit so thank you everyone  :) it's a sad tale for Priscilla so that's a shame.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Re: Kaupawich

1939 England was at war where was Walter?
Is it impossible to think his wife had gone to stay with family.
You stated the death of his first wife is recorded in West Ham that is in Essex not Coventry.
How do you know it was a happy union?

Coventry was bombed into oblivion November 1940.
Walter was 46 so over the age of compulsory enlistment which was 41 so was still at home. I did state that his wife's death was recorded in West Ham and am aware it is not Coventry but she was born there and as she was fairly young when she died, with small children I did think maybe she had gone back to her family while ill. Obviously I have no idea what their marriage was like and can only speculate on things that I don't have any facts or evidence for which would be the case for most people doing family tree research.

Thank you to every one for their time and work. I'm not sure that the one on the 1939 register is the correct one as she was married by then and had taken the Smith surname, she also had moved to Coventry after her marriage. It is very difficult to research the polish and Russian surnames as they have so many spelling variations!

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Kaupawich
« on: Monday 25 February 19 03:30 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find info on a Sarah Ellen Kaupawich who was born 12 April 1894 according to her death registration and married Walter J Smith in Coventry sometime in 1925. Sarah was the 2nd wife of my great grandfather Walter. Family legend has it that she was his first wife's sister. The first wife was Castancia Abromovitch. She was also known as Constance and her surname has many spelling variations which makes it hard! Castancia/ Constance was born circa 1893 in West Ham, she married Walter, who was from Coventry in 1917 and her death was registered in West Ham in 1925. She left behind 3 young children - the eldest's birth was registered in West Ham in 1917 and the other 2 were registered in Coventry 1921 and 1922. I have found absolutely nothing that would suggest Sarah and Castancia/Constance were sisters. I have found  Castancia /Constance on the census records and there was no Sarah.
I cannot find anything on Sarah or much on any Kaupawich person that would fit. I've seen a couple of marriages for what might be sisters of Sarah but have been unable to find anything on any census records or even birth or death records. Hopefully someone might be able to help move me forward
Thank you

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Placket Family Hellidon
« on: Tuesday 12 February 19 23:33 GMT (UK)  »
I'm hoping someone can help me with some confusion I have in my tree. I have a Robert Plackett bap 14 Mar 1623 Hellidon who I had married to Ann Randolph circa 1649. I've been working on my tree for over ten years so I'm not sure where I got the wife's name from. I found on several other trees a Ann Randolph, married to Robert, she was put to have been baptised 8 feb either 1625 or 1626 in Little Houghton with father being William Randell Randolph and his wife Dorothy West Lane. This cannot be correct as that Ann Randolph was buried 28 Jan 1626 Little Houghton. Does anyone know the correct info for Ann Randolph or if she was even the correct wife for Robert? Sorry if my question is just as confusing as my request  ;) I have got lots of branches that I've worked on in regards to this being correct so I guess my lesson learnt is to make sure I double or even triple check info before adding it!
Thanks

Northamptonshire Resources & Offers / blisworth website
« on: Monday 11 February 19 23:52 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am searching for records relating to ancestors from Blisworth pre 1800s and have seen lots of links for blisworth.org.uk. This website no longer exists, everytime I have tried to find something it comes up with domain expired. It looks like it had a wealth of knowledge and I'm disappointed I can't see it. I live in New Zealand so have to do all my research online. Does anyone know if the website has got a new address or if there is another one that would be just as good?
Thanks
Nikki
