As Gosling is not one of my central branches I have not endeavoured to go back to the 16th century .. I may  one day follow this line but unfortunately not as yet .. I only go back into 19th century ... to Hannah which you don’t have in your tree so I doubt there is a clear connection immediately.  It iseems a fairly common surname it seems in Glos so there maybe a very tenuous link.

Thank you what a sad story .. his common law  wife Narg Ann Fitzgerald apparently died in 1858. . Is it possible the two daughters Emma who was born  1838 and Esther 1841 would have been working  so would not have been admitted .. Trying to reconcile this miserable life they must have had .

Thank you. Is there a way of finding out the circumstances for these admissions? They

I have found via ancestry.co.uk that two of my ancestors were admitted to a work house in 1856 aged 12 and 10
would there be any reports available on  their circumstances.

Arthur Keyte  1844 and Robert Keyte 1846

Arthur was also admitted on an earlier occasion with two other siblings in the 1840s .

Is it likely that William and Samuel were born in London..

Father Samuel born in London.

How did William Keyte arrive in Arley from London.

His marriage was witnessed by Viscount Valencia Lord George Lyytleon’s son in Law living at Arley Hall at Over Arley Church . Is that a likely reason he cane from London to marry a local Anne Phillips .. who was she ?

Hi I am looking to add to some information I have on William Keyte burial in 1788 at ST Botolph Aldgate.  He was recorded as a Gent at his marriage by licence to Anne Phillips in Arley then Staffordshire now vWorcestershire in 1771.   He had two children christened at Arlen Church. Maybe there were more but it seems the family had business in 15 Minories City of London.  Are there death certificates for this period . Are there business directories for this period too.  He was a Tallow Chandler and his son Arthur succeeded him in the business as an Apprentice within The Guild of Tallow Chandlers
