Montgomeryshire / Re: Annie Finney born 1905
« on: Wednesday 02 August 17 15:42 BST (UK)  »
Hi Sue

Can't find Annie anywhere, but I have Smething on the witnesses at her wedding. It might help to come at it from d different direction.

Ruth Finney (b Mar Q 1881 - Meol Brace, Shropshire and John Stanley Finney (b Sep Q 1885} were brother and sister. They were the children of John Finney (11 feb 1845 Brickyard Cottage, Berriew, Montgomery) and Ann Susannah Pryce (b about 1853 in Welshpool)  John and Susannah married in 1878. Hope this helps. Let me  know how you get on.

Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your post. I'm not allowed to send personal messages yet (one more post should do it)
In the mean time I can tell you that Alice is not partof my immediate family, but I'm interested in all forms of her surname. I've taken on the task of a one name study for the whole of Lancashire (over
ambitious or what?) I have your Alice and family at Marple Lane in 1851, and in 1871 in Salford with children Mary and Elizabeth, father John and brother Joseph. Have I got the right lot? Be warned ! I am the most disorganised person you will ever come across, but I do have loads of information, bits of paper and notes all in an untidy pile. If, however, you feel I might be able to help your research, you only have to ask. And you can send personal messages! Hope to hear from you. soi sage.
