Elm Tree : Your original query re Duffys in Tullamore.  There are at least two Duffy families still living in Tullamore who have long roots in the town -one of those is alluded to in Seanmac's gravestone photographs and I remember that man as 'Grandad Duffy'

Perhaps your memory is better than mine but Clavin's (also?) were butchers in Columcillle St. (aka William St.) as were Killeavy's. There is a Chinese restaurant at the latter site and the former  is owned, oddly enough, by Clearys and is a clothes shop/shoe shop.  There was a Cleary butchers in High Street and Tom Treacy's (RIP). A friend and 'townie'confirmed this to me but memories are misleading.  I will check in 'Paddy Cloonans' next time I am in thereClavin man from Columcille Street is still alive.
Since you and I were around in the 60's we know each other I'd say!

London I would guess but not sure.

Thanks Moderator, you are correct in that at least one party is still alive and possibly all three - I had no intention of publishing the names.

England / Re: Agnew (Harry) family of Birmingham

I am guessing, from other info, that Harry was born between 1930 and 1940 and was in Birmingham U at least to 1980s.  I will have to check these years with another source, mother (in Ireland) and father born early 1900s.  I have been told that his father was from UK probably Wales.
Thanks, BC.

How to look up birth of a baby girl in UK, probably London, early 1980s, knowing only fathers full name and mother's first name?

Looking for information on the above.  Harry probably deceased was associated with Birmingham university and his mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Clarke originally from Dublin, Ireland.
