Galway / Re: Michael Joseph Lyons. Born Clontuskert area of Galway. C. 1879

Hi,
Unfortunately Chapelpark has not appeared before.  My Great Great Grandfather Roderick Lyons (Roger) was born circa 1825. He married
Ellen Kelly in 1845 and died in 1865.  The name James has also not appeared in the family. He would look to be a generation ahead of Roderick.

It could of course be a connection but unfortunately I have not been able to establish where Roderick was born or any other information regarding his parents - lack of records. I did actually have some research made in Ireland some years ago but nothing then or since has turned up .

Do you have details of James’s children, and coming forward from there?
It would be useful to know in case anything else turns up.  I have a tree on Ancestry under Dolby Tree.
Regards,
Heather

Thank you Rosie. The Margaret is his second wife to be. Apparently did not divorce first wife, maybe waited until after her death before finally marrying, perhaps on religious grounds? The marriage you suggest is a possibility will take a closer look. Problem is he worked for Fords  and moved around before settling in Essex. I am Looking at this for my friend whose late Father this is.Just trying to find last piece in the Family puzzle.

Many thanks for your kind help.

Died upminster, Essex 1972. Second marriage 1968. His parents James HenryBolton. 1872 Manchester, wife Hannah Widdowson  Born 1864.
Looking to find details of a first marriage,no name not sure of area, could be Manchester area as a marriage at a young age  say from 1923 to 1936 at very latest. My feeling is earlier rather than later. Any suggestions or advice would be welcomed. Thank you
