Hi :-)  Its not a huge cemetery, so i'll pop down on Sunday with my camera and if i can find it, i'll take some photos for you. Its actually not in Cleckheaton but a little village called Scholes. I knew a Eva Naylor when i was growing up and we also had a factory in the village called Sellers card clothing. Could these be connected with your family ?

I'm trying to trace the parents of Edward Malone. He was born in 1876, Halifax, West Yorkshire and died on 02/11/41 in Bradford. He married a Bridget Dunn in 1900, North Bierley.

I think all the info i've given you is correct and hope i hav'nt led you on a wild goose chase

Many thanks in advance  :)

I live in the area. Oddfellows Street and Lower Green Avenue are still there. Westfield Inn was a pub but its now known as Harrys Carvery.

Theres is'nt a Speights butchers in Cleckheaton but i will look and see if i can find you any information as to where it was.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Completed Requests / Re: Lost Dalby family. North Bierley

I can't thank you all enough for the information that you've found. I never knew that Ann Ellen had been married, she was the only sibling that i remember from my childhood. I've always searched for her under the Dalby surname not Haigh. Thankyou for those links Calverley Lad. I've put them in my favourites and will have a right good look through them when i get a spare few hours. Once again. Many thanks..........Tricia

I'm totally stuck with my family tree. My Grandmas maiden name was Dalby and before she married, she lived in North Bierley with her parents and siblings. She was the last of the siblings to die and would never talk about her family. Their names were

Ann Ellen born 1893
Isabella born 1898 died 1917
George Willie born 1900
Smith born 1902
Dick born 1909
Alice (my grandma) born 1912 died 1995
Fred born 1914

Apart from my Grandma and Isabella, I can't find any info on the others ie marriages and deaths. Can anyone out there help please ?. I know its a big ask but all help would be very much appreciated
