If your having trouble viewing the 1841 census why not go to your local library where you should be able to use Ancestry for free

Hi There

Thank you all for the info & I must look into E. P. Warren as that sounds very promising indeed.

As for knowing what the painting was I don't have a clue but it must have been a valuable one at the time.

You need to pay a visit to the HIVE in Worcester where the parish registers for the county are deposited as that's your best bet to find her

Hi There

Yes that's the pleck all right & it would be a better view if they cut that tree down LOL.

Thanks for going to so much trouble but I think Im going to have a job finding out when it was built & I know the place was built from the proceeds of the sale of one picture I wish I owned that picture as it would set me up for life LOL.

Hi Stinton

The Pleck House is still standing & houses have been built in its grounds(well part of its grounds) & I would love to find out when the Pleck was built as that's a gap in my knowledge about it - one of my Aunts was in service there & that's my only link with it that I know about :)

Hi Ruskie

that's where the pleck is but I cant get Google maps to play the game & rotate to show the house & I know its there as I walked past it on the 20th JAN this year.

Thanks a lot for your trouble.

In case you wonder why I want help with this topic as I use to be a local when I was about 9 years old but that's a hell of a time ago & I just get to spend 3 holidays a year in the village where the Pleck House was originally built so I know a bit about it but the years it was built is a gaap in my knowledge about it which I would like to remedy.

Thanks a lot Stinton & Ruskie

Firstly The Pleck House was sold to a property developer some time ago so there are no current owners to contact & secondly yes the Pleck is in Quarry Bank & Waresley Rd is at the top of the bank but the reason I put Quarry Lane down was because that is the address given in an old street directory so I thought Id better put that down in case Quarry Bank was known as Quarry Lane some time ago but I have my doubt about that also The Pleck was never a bed & breakfast or hotel even though its plenty big enough.

Thank you both for trying to help me & I must get in touch with the history society as they owe me a favour for getting some pictures of an old Court in the village some years ago & that is the only photographic evidence there is of the place.
