London and Middlesex / Re: The Whereabouts of Samuel Meredith B. 1913
« on: Wednesday 11 July 18 11:00 BST (UK)  »
Hi, Thanks for your replys.
I did indeed some years ago ask for help on this person.
Since that time I am still left wondering what became of Samuel as a young boy growing up.
He recalled before he died in 1970 to me that he was "brought up by the nuns".
I wondered if there was anybody out there that might have seen the name on a record of a local school or home in the Wandsworth, Tooting area, which I presume local to Hazelhurst Road that he might have been placed.
Details on his birth certificate are surely a cover up as previously said the mothers maiden name is Dunne (the family mother was Hartley, and his father was Charles Meredith, but it is written as William Charles. Two "mistakes" I cannot accept also mis spelling the name as Meridith is a third.

He had a sister we called May who I believe I may have found she could be Lily M Meredith born 1913 jas, Lambeth, the mothers maiden name is "Holmes" I wonder if that is the Ivy Holmes who was living with the family on the 1911 census at Hazelhurst Road Tooting. Charles Meredith was known to have been a jack the lad.

I will be away for two weeks so apologies if anybody replying does not get an answer until I get back. Thanks.

London and Middlesex / The Whereabouts of Samuel Meredith B. 1913

I wonder if anybody can throw some light on this boy please.
He was born Samuel Meredith 1913 in Wandsworth at Hazelhurst Road.
His mother was listed as Agnes Meredith Formerly Dunn.
I believe he was born out of wedlock and the certificate was a cover up.
What he told me in later life was that he was "brought up by the nuns", I wonder if anybody can find him as a young boy in an institution perhaps local to where he was born ? due to the circumstance, I believe he was not at the family home.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in anticipation.

Technical Help / Long Running Script
« on: Monday 20 March 17 17:42 GMT (UK)  »
My computer seems to have developed a glitch, whereby most sites that I click on take time to actually load into, when I click the mouse a message comes up below saying "Long running script" with a ok box which it invites the user to press.
Regardless, it takes its time and then goes into whatever I have requested.
Any clues whats wrong members please ??

I am trying to trace a relation, (*) was born in 1965 at Acle, Norfolk.
She has a brother and a sister, but (*) was adopted and her whereabouts or adoptive name are unknown.
The Salvation army do not apparently check for people so I have been informed, any other ideas folks ?, perhaps someone may know of her ?

Thanks for the link.
I am not aware that there is a Edward in our tree.
Please look at a reply by ANNCLARE to me of 4th August, where she left me a link for Familysearch.
There is a record for a Edward 1879, amongst others.
Good luck and thank you again.

Conahy, thank you for the information.
I did not realise that records only went to 1958 ( should have read properly).
The Bridget record I was after viewing was a death record, she lived at Clonmel and died I think around summer 2005, she never married.
Not sure now if I can get details or from where ?
