Thanks again Kay.
Do you think the cottages you show were of the early 1800's ?

Durham / John Walton abode Hassicks ?
« on: Wednesday 30 June 21 04:51 BST (UK)  »
I have an ancestor (the same name as mine) John Walton whose burial was dated 22 Sept. 1835 age 50 years at St. Johns Chapel, Stanhope, according to the Durham Bishops transcripts. His abode was listed as Hassicks.
Would some one know as to where this place may be?
Many thanks.
John Walton...Sydney.

I also wake at 3am not that I can't sleep it is just my body clock telling me it is time to get up. It could be that I fall asleep in front of the TV at 8pm or earlier. Nothing much to weatch anyhow.

Thank you Kay for your help I would not have found this information without your input.
Your email arrived on a very very cold day in Sydney with snow up on the mountains.
Regards,
John
