Ireland / Watson Bell born Ireland about 1835
« on: Saturday 28 September 13 12:21 BST (UK)  »
Im trying to find out where my gggrandfather was born.  His parents were James Bell and Ann Watson.  He married Ann Baird in Slamannan, Scotland in 1858.  One of the witnesses was John Bell.  Children were Ann Bell 1859, Agnes Russell Bell 1861, James Bell 1864, William Bell 1867, Watson Bell 1869, John Hutchison Bell 1872, Ann Bell 1874, and Edward Hamilton Bell 1876.  He died in Polmont, Scotland in 1888  I know its not much to go on but im hoping someone might recognise some of the family names.

Thanks for all of that, some i knew a lot i didnt.  Hadn't thought of looking for marions siblings.  I think the Marion on the marriage cert. is wrong it was Jean (i said Jane earlier, sorry) on the census and on Marions death cert.

I have them on census returns.  I have their wedding cert 31-12-63 in kilmarnock, also their death cert. James in 1871 and Marion in 1916.  Can anyone give me an idea where im going wrong please?

It was one of three rows of miners cottages in Plean.  I know they were there in 1901 census, don't know where in Plean or when they were knocked down.
