I have a record of woman in my Parish in 1745 who picked the pocket of a local man.  She was found guilty and had the choice of being publicly whipped, or transported.  She chose transportation.

Agree with previous reply. i.e. "This court doth".

I cannot see any word "acquitted", but I take the sentence to be that after her punishment she will be discharged.
