One Name Studies: A to G / Brackenbury of Saleby (Teesdale)
« on: Thursday 06 December 12 15:21 GMT (UK)  »
I have a substantial tree concerning the Brackenburys of Lincolnshire going back to Miles born 1583 at Ashby Puerorum.
Is there a link to the Brackenbury family of Saleby - whose most notable son was Sir Robert B (b1435) keeper of the keys of the Tower of London. He died with Richard III at Bosworth field (1485). The titles and lands reverted to Ralph B (b1460) his nephew. There was a son Anthony. Then a son Thomas and finally a Francis. Did a family member move over to Lincolnshire? They seen to have been wealthy chain suggesting connections.

Thanks wee Hugh.
I see that you have an interest in the Jones around Burton Pen (ped?) wardine. I have a Theophilus as Neville's brother. We have a written statement from a deceased relative, suggesting he had a son also called Theophilus. (Thus junior). Can you shed any light on this, as no cenus info I have, identifies any such.
Many Thanks

Have some info on a relative of Neville Jones. The Vicar of Burton Penwardine in Lincolshire is on my wife's family tree and I have various links that may be of some intertest. Being new to Rootschat, I started a new topic, same subject, today 5th Oct 2012 before I found this dialogue set.

Think this topic was started by weeHugh 31st March 2012. But I can't find topic listed I'm new to the forum. so this is a bit of a trial and error message. I think I have a tree link with this vicar. He had a brother or maybe an uncle, who was Vicar of Burton Penwardine in Lincolshire around 1820.
