I have a lot of their details from the time the Germans invaded their hometown up until they travelled to Australia as displaced persons; plus some details going back to their early childhood. I
have a list of quite a few marriages from the Poznan State Archives which I haven't finished going through as yet and they have quite a few possible parents within them.

The son of one of Stefan's male friends, gave me a copy of letters written between his father and Stefan which related to their time in the refugee camp, and when Stefan received government help to move into government housing here in Australia. I was lucky and thankful to receive them.

I will put together a list of possible parents from what I have and then PM you the details. Again, thanks for your offer of help.

Hi Helen,

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes it is the same place. They were married there in 1947.

I have some info on both Stefan & Helena, but what I have been unable to find is any documents or the location of his parents or any info concerning them. I would love some help in locating anything that is available.

Kind regards,
Diane

Looking for any Sierszynski family that may be related to Stefan Sierszynski. He married Helena Szabronskia in 1947. They both spent time in the war camps as forced labourers in Germany during WWII, then migrated to Australia in 1950. Both had siblings that were still alive after the war. No names or other details.

Stefan was from Siedlce and Helena from Czechowice in Poland. They were married in Watenstedt.

Thanks in advance.

This I found on Janet Chalmers :

Janet Chalmers, b. 26 Oct 1769 , chr. 5 Nov 1769 in Ratho, Midlothian
Parents Thomas Chalmers and Isabel Aitken

I also found a few Mary Graham's attached to Lochmaben, plus the birth of 2 children William and Chatrin (female) to both Robert and Mary.

Hi Reiver,

I spent hours going through my Beattie info and SP and other sites looking for info on Robert Beattie. I did find a few things, though nothing groundbreaking. I just have to find the file I put it all in as I got sidetracked looking for Scotts and it is mixed in with that. I saved all I found whether it seemed relevant or not so you can sort through it.

I have a friend who has worked on the Beattie line for the last 25 years. She is in the middle of moving house but once she is settled in I will ask her for any info she might have.

In an old book I was doing research in I came across the term of clandestine marriages. In those days they were titled as "Green Marriages" - hence Gretna Green.

Kind regards,
Briellen

Hi Reiver,

Were you after information on William Beattie and Ann Scott plus their offspring?

Hi Reiver,

What kind of info are you after? I don't have any details in my tree (program) of William Blake and Isabella Biggar, just their names.  I only went so far with them as I was focusing mostly on the direct line of the Scotts.  I do have down the names of Walter and Marion plus their 8 children (tho not all their birth dates). That's not to say I don't have anything on William and Isabella. I will need to go through my notes and see what I have for you. I have also noted that if you put in Beggar (as a variation) more info does come up on ancestry, though I haven't followed it up at this stage.

Give me a day to go through my notes (miles of it) then I will get back to you on it.

Briellen  :)
