Hi, My uncle was drown as a child in the river Lagan in 1929. His name was Andrew Johnston.  I have newspaper clippings of the incident and photographs.  He lived in 42 Clyde Street Belfast.  I was wondering if anyone could find out who his father and family was or any information at all relating to the Johnston family from this address.  Thank you for all your help in the past, I  am very grateful.

kind regards

Cork / Browning Edward british soldier

Hi, My great grandmother was from Westmeath, I think her name was Margaret Horan, she married Edward Browning, a British soldier in Cork.  My grandmother Mary Browning was born in Fermoy.  I would love to have even a snippet of information about them. They married around the very early 1890s.  thank you in advance.

Antrim / year of marriage in Holy Cross Church Belfast
« on: Saturday 29 November 14 17:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, After much searching and wrong information, I have discovered that my greatgrandfathers parents are John and Alice Trainor, Alice maiden name is Mc Ardle and they were married in Holy Cross church sometime in the 1870s.  If anyone could find out the year they were married, it might help to clarify a little of our family history.  Thank you in advance xx

Patrick was born in Belfast as far as I am aware in 1871.  |That would have made his mother Alice around 18 years old.  I have always been told that she was not married so I am intrigued how a catholic in those days was able to keep and raise her baby?

Hi, I found my great grandfather on the Belfast census 1901, he is Patrick Trainor and lived in Balkan Street Belfast.  I would love to find his parents.  All I was told was that his mothers name was Alice and she was unmarried.  I have sent for his birth certificate but if there is any other information I would love to know more about her.   Thank you xx

Westmeath / Re: Margaret Horan born in Mullingar 1869

Edward Browning was born in Brighton Sussex.  I don't know any more about him, I know they went to England for a few years and returned.  They then show up on the Belfast census in 1901 and 1911.  Thank you all for your help, as Mullingar is quite a bit away from Fermoy I was wondering how they would have met up and married?
