Theres a John Bisby father Richard on the parish records for Bolton Upon Dearne on www.genuki.org.uk his Baptism was 9 Feb 1699

I was also looking on there for any children of a John Bisby after the year he was married 1725
There was a John born in 1726, a John born in 1729 & a Thomas 1731

John and Mary were my 7x Great Grandparents and l too have searching
and there is a John Bisby baptised 23 Feb 1699, father Richard
but its in the Baptism  records for Bolton Upon Dearne the place they were married
l actually live close to Barnburgh (Barnborough) in Mexborough & Bolton Upon Dearne is also very near, when l have the time l do intend to look through the records for Barnburgh

Have you seen how many men fought in WW1 just from Britain alone
with number its not surprising there were so many awarded Gallentry Medals
awarded, it means all those men did something extra extra special,
it dismisses the heros they were to describe a Gallentry Medal as common

My ancestor James Calderbank was also a Chelsea Pensioner and was in the 31st Foot Regiment
he enlisted in 1799, l found the record of that and the record of him being in the Royal Hospital Chelsea, but im wanting to know more

Samuel Bird and Sarah Lomas were my 4x great grandparents, Sarah would have been around only 43
when her youngest daugher Lucy was born
