Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Hemington Christening - Twells

Thank you Mike - very kind of you.  Maybe he just liked being called Frederick and his name was Thomas!

I don't know what George did for a living.  Frederick's marriage certificate  in 1839 says 'labourer' - great help eh?

Thank you once again for looking.  Maybe it will have to remain a mystery.

Regards
Den

Mike
Further search shows that Frederick was probably born 1813 rather than 1818.  Hope this helps... thanks again

If anyone is going to a local register office could they look up a christening for Frederic(k) Twells born Hemington abt 1818.  His father was a one George Twells.  I assume these records exist somewhere.

I have also posted this on derbyshire site as I'm not sure whether Hemington is derby or Leicester.

Many thanks in advance.

If anyone is visiting the local records office could they be so kind as to look up a christening record (I assume they exist) for one Frederic(k) Twells born about 1813 in Hemington.  His father was George Twells.  I have got back as far as this and got his father's name from his marriage certificate but have since drawn a blank.  Many thanks in advance.

Thank you - that's a great help.  Does anyone else know whether that piece is available or has it been destroyed?

I cannot find any 1861 census records for the Dyserth area of Flintshire.  Can anyone out there confirm that they do not exist or am I looking in the wrong place!
