Sorry, I could not find a way to reply to your last message to me.  I believe my father was a carpenter in Dursley.  His father, Daniel, was a dyer.  I cannot remember if you enquired about anything else, but will be happy to answer any other questions if there is an obvious means of sending a reply.  My father was a remarkably good man, who instilled me with a pride of being of British heritage.   Celiap

Colin,   My name is Celia Mary Reeves McKinney; third child of five of Alfred John and Mary Lipps Reeves.  I have been intrigued and interested in your search for information regarding my father.
Perhaps I can fill in some of the blanks concerning his life in the USA.  My understanding of his military service is that he originally signed up in Cleveland, Ohio in the US Army with other friends of
British heritage.   He worked in a rubber factory in Akron, Ohio, but found that work too confining and became a carpenter.  He was a building contractor during the years of raising his family, and was owner and ran Reeves Lumber Company, Copley Road, Akron, Ohio until his retirement when he handed the business to his son, Arthur.  He remained semi-active in the company for several more years until moving to Stuart, Florida in 1978.  I would be happy to share any information still available to my three sisters and me if you would care to exchange email addresses.  Best wishes.
