Oh well - we all do it from time to time.  Also, there are plenty of Bainbridges in Durham and I guess they must be connected together somehow.

Try again.

Hi

They are definitely from County Durham.  I'll go back to the Ancestry members that have the same photo and check it out.  It might take some time to get back to you.

I believe that he was my 3x Gt Grandfather.

My grandmother was Emma Bainbridge b.1890.  Her parents were John Robert Bainbridge b.1850 and Jane Vickers.  I've borrowed the rest from other Ancestry UK members:  John's parents were John Bainbridge b. 1823 and Elizabeth.  John Bainbridge's parents were George b.1792 and Sarah? (I believe that you have her as Elizabeth).

The photo of George reminds me a bit of my Dad so I think it is right.

I don't know too much about the family as it is a bit complicated.  Emma was in and out of the Workhouse when my Dad was born and I don't know who his father was.   Emma died in the Workhouse.  My Dad did find some relatives that he kept in touch with but we don't have many photos. For some reason I just decided to put my tree for this side of the family on Ancestry and came across this additional information and the photo.

I'd love to hear from you

Kind regards

Hi I believe that these are my ancestors also.  I'd be interested to find out some more about them and the wider family.  If you get this message please could you e-mail me (*).

Thanks

Yvonne
