Just wondering if I search for the address which is given as Four Ashes Cottage Dorridge Solihull (I know it was in Four Ashes Road) I can't find it even though it was on the Connie Chanbus search?

One other query on the transcript the names of my grandparents are there but not my Mother and Uncle who would have been there they were born 1922/23 there are 2 lines underneath my grandparents names which say this record is officially closed?

Thank you So much Annette that is exactly right! I stupidly didn't think to search for variants to the surname!

Family History Beginners Board / 1939 record on Ancestry but not FindMyPast?
« on: Monday 10 January 22 11:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Could anyone tell me why a record can be found in Ancestry but not in FindMyPast? All my information up to now I have found in FindMyPast with the exception of one in the 1939 register. My grandparents Walter (b1883)and Connie (Constance) b1893)Chambers are not found in FindMyPast. I am trying to list all the records I need before subscribing again so really want the info from FindMyPast.
I have hopefully attached the photos

It was definitely Four Ashes Road and there is a Manor Farm on the list which was virtually next door but no mention of Four Ashes Cottage I clicked on all the other addresses but nothing

Yes he was a gardener Would the other names not be available because they were born 1922/23 so not 100 years? Still don’t know why Four Ashes Cottage is not found on the address search as that was definitely correct as I lived there for a while!

Now I understand I thought by using the info I knew was correct it would find him but it seems that there were a lot of transcription errors - not surprising really!
I still can't find them by using the FindMyPast address search though and my Mother and Uncle would have been there also as suggested by the Chanbus entry
