Hi Ronan

My visist was over two years ago now and I don't remember how much it cost as I went on an organised trip with work.
I did have to pay for an ID card and then for photocopies, if you look on the TNA site i'm sure they have the details on there.

I did a search on TNA site before I went to get the reference number of his service records which saved a lot of time.

There is an Army Regiment Musuem, here is the link
http://www.armymuseums.org.uk/museums/0000000083-Queen-s-Lancashire-Regiment-Museum.htm

What was your GG Grandfathers name.

Good luck with your search

Hi Carole,

Thank you so much for taking the time to look for me, it is much appreicated.

When I saw the death entry so close to the trail date, and the children being in the workhouse I thought he had murdered the wife, and he was found guilty and then executed.

I think my imagination is running away with me.    :D

Hi Everyone,

I have not been able to find any information on the wife Mary Partridge.

I have found a bit of information about the children.  Charlotte is my GGG Grandmother, she married William Robinson on 21.08.1848 and had 3 children, (Mary Ann 1850 : Charles William 1851 : John George 1853) .  John George was my GG Grandfather was born in the Newport Pagnell Workhouse on 30.04.1853.

I would be very grateful if anyone could find out what crime Philip Partridge comitted and if he was imprisoned and or executed.

Many thanks

Mandy

Hi Everyone,

I have just found an IGI entry for my GGGGGG Grandparents marriage - Elizabeth Chapman and William Stokes 9th April 1798 (batch PO17671) in Clewer, Berkshire.

Elizabeth Chapman was baptised on 17th June 1781 in Clewer Green, Berkshire - her parents were Richard and Jane Chapman (batch PO17671).

I cannot find anything about Richard and Jane Chapman, any help would be gratefully received.

Hi Liz

That's them - from the this information and the baptism it makes me think he was bron in the latter part of 1863.

I have the birth certificates for all of his siblings, but I just can't find him (the one I really want!).

regards

Mandy
