Thanks all.  No link to the Limehouse connection.  Have since been made aware that he died circa 1951.

Thanks for that quick research!  Equally annoying is why I can't pinpoint him, as in the first message, that's all we have on him! Not even a dob.
I'll certainly research the Limehouse link.

Looking for anything further back on James Chapman born Eltham? 1901/2.  He married Agnes Sarah Ayling dob Feb 1902 in 1926 in Eltham.   His mother's name unknown.
According to stories he may have been born out of wedlock to gentry, but marriage cert has his father as a labourer also James Chapman. (Also not found)
No known siblings.
Thankyou for any info. if found

Kent / Richard Pinder poss AKA James Reginald Pinder
« on: Tuesday 22 May 18 17:56 BST (UK)  »
Trying to work out if (as on 1939 register), Richard and James are one and the same person?
Problem finding Richard (born circa 1893/4/5) under the name Pinder as he may well have been adopted or fostered by Edward G and Alice Pinder.
Hence the possibility of his surname not being Pinder. Can't find either in a census with the above 'parents'.   Any thoughts? Thanks.

I agree!  We've been getting more than the usual snow/cold from the East this year too.  Expecting more possibly this Sunday and always know it will be colder if you are getting it too.  Take care.

Ahh that makes more sense, silly me, so once again thanks.
If you really are 'inNY' hope it's not too cold wherever you are! Pat

Hi again Maureen, at the risk of seeming a bit dim, I have to ask...... in your replies re above you say that going into the GRO site you can 'see that' children's names are under the surname Horner.  Are you able to walk me through how to see this information.  I only seem to work out the infor you gave for Alice, but am failing to find more details.  I know (rolling my eyes too) ..... ::) ::)

I didn't, so thanks once again! No wonder I couldn't find any info on the children!

Thanks Maureen. I couldn't link her 2 middle names with Richard Pinder and I had her mmn. as Honour.  I'll certainly see now if I can make a better link - sounds promising.
