Armed Forces / Merchant Navy record
« on: Saturday 27 May 23 16:02 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

I would like to find my Dad’s merchant navy record - I think he didn’t stay in long and as far as I am aware he was an officer (don’t know which kind) he was born 1946 in Glasgow. Is there anywhere I can find more info online? I think it was roughly the time period of 1965 to 1967.

Thanks 😊

FOUND HER!

Thank you all.. found her in St Kentigerns… had to go through the day books as the records for burials of children  between 1957-1969 are all fire damaged.

Thanks. I know there were Catholic and lived in Maryhill at the time. I’ve called St Convals and they haven’t got her. I’m trying Dalbeth and St Kentigerns. The only other family members I know location for is my Aunties parents who were buried in St Convals.

Hey all…

My cousin is trying to find out where her sister was buried. Elizabeth died in infancy at only 2 days old. I have her death certificate from Scotlands people but no details of where she’s interred. Is there anywhere I can search?

Elizabeth Dalgleish
B/D 9/11 November 1967
Robroyston Hospital, Glasgow.

Her grandparents were buried at St Convals cemy, Barrhead.

Apart from his birth - do you know anything else about from any "stories" within the family?  Marriage/children etc

Did his father/mother leave a will?  Is there any mention of William in it?

No, nothing at all. My dad and grandfather have both died so no one to even ask. I don't remember any mention of him... my dad never mentioned him as an uncle that I can remember.

??

fascinating.. thank you. I see the number differs but I suppose she could have been born at another house in the street... maybe a local community midwife type person (not in an official capacity) The 'Gordan' family must factor in.

That is the number of the Form.  32nd Form completed on street

the Family return form A page says no 20 Drew Street
