Thanks for your message.  I've had a break from going 'backwards' with the Roes/Rowes for a while but am still very interested to find out more. I've been researching Benjamin Rowe born c 1834 in Chelmondiston son of Martha Rowe. He emigrated to Australia and died in New South Wales in 1880. I've been doing friends trees too.
I got stuck with John and Martha and their dates. I am descended from one of their sons, probably William. I have a copy of the will of their son John [1768-1850]who moved to Grundisburgh and left money to William, Mary and Martha Rowe - nephew and nieces, in Chelmondiston.  I have transcribed it so can send it to you. Other money was left to his children by his housekeeper.
I would love to see the photo of the gravestone please. It makes people very real. If you message me I'll send you my email address. 
I have photos of my great grandfather John Rowe and his sister Selina and their family.  I do wish they hadn't called everyone John or William - I get very confused in the generations.

I'd like to find out about synagogues in Liverpool in the late 1800s. I am researching a family who sound Jewish, the Meyerheims from Prussia but some of the children married in the Anglican Church after being baptised and at least one other married in the Catholic Church.
Are any records likely to have been deposited locally or were they kept in the synagogue.

I thought I'd probe the Rootschat brains before contacting the Liverpool Archives.

This is a huge ask but I think I've exhausted all the sites that I can access in the UK. I'm doing some research for close friends and the ancestor is William Meyerheim (aka Henry William Meyerheim) born in Prussia about 1855 and died in Berlin in 1895. His parents were Louis and Lina Meyerheim. William was married to Elise from Silesia. The family were all in England in 1871 and William in 1881. None of the family appear in the 1891 census and I think they had gone back to Germany. Elise and the children reappear in England for the 1901 and 1911 censuses. In 1919 she is classed as an enemy alien.

I would love to know if there is anything for them while they were back in Germany probably Berlin as William died there. They appear to be Christians as the children married in either Catholic or Anglian churches in England.
Any information would be a big plus for my friends.

Thank you all for your replies. The postcard was just what I wanted. I am researching for my husband's cousin whose great great grandfather George Harry Stevenson  was the manager of the Divan at one time in the 1880s.  Thanks for the directory entry. I don't find the newer version of Historical Directories as easy to navigate as the old version.
