Oh I got so excited for a moment as I’ve never found anyone researching the same tree as me. My Great-Great-Grandmother was a Dack from Hevingham who married a Scott and I know they did live in London at some point but the dates don’t match. I can see this post is years old so I hope you’ve solved it now?

Hi, I appreciate this is a very old post but I was wondering if you were still active on this thread please? I’m wondering if we have the same Janet Hay within our family 😊

1841 census - aged 23 worker on the farm of John Hay, Drumbowie, Torphichen. There he met his future wife Janet Hay then 14.
1851 census - aged 32, labourer, resident at Loanend, Torphichen with wife Janet24, William 7, John 5, James 3.
1861 census - aged 38? birth given as  c1823? No wife ( I believe she left him to look after his sons by himself). roadman,  Resident at Torphichen bridge Tole, with sons James 13, Robert 8, Peter 6.
His wife, Janet Hay was a distant cousin of mine.
