Nottinghamshire / Re: Burial place query

It may be worth while posting on a local board and asking if anyone lives near the burial ground and would be willing to kindly go and have a check for a grave stone. I have done it a few times for local, to me, graveyards and been able to send a photo.

"I did find another Mary born/baptised 1721 East Stoke with parents Wm/Mary but assuming these were not the same family and Sarah discribed as " Eldest dau of William (labourer) and Mary" suggests Mary 1721 is not."

Burial for the Mary baptised in 1721?
7 Mar 1725 Mary Stimson notes dau of William

The nearest baptism I can find is Carlton in Lindrick , about 9 and a half miles from Mattersey.
17 Aug 1790 William son of John & Mary Hutchinson.
This Williams siblings named Sarah, Nancy, Luke, Thomas, Joseph, Abraham and George.
William and Elizabeths children also share the names John and Mary (for the parents) George, Sarah, Abraham, Joseph for the siblings.

Marriage Mattersey
2 March 1812 William Hutchinson and Elizabeth Grey.
Baptism Everton 16 Dec 1793 Elizabeth dau of John & Rebecca Grey abode Sheffield, Yorks. Everton is a mile from Mattersey.

Hi Chris, welcome to Rootschat. This is a very old posting so you are unlikely to get an answer from the opening poster.
I have some Cobbs in my tree, mainly Newark area. If you would like to give some dates for your William and Leslie that would help. There are 5 Leslie Cobbs registered in Nottinghamshire between 1904 and 1932.
