Hi there are three henrys that were identified 1 Henry born 1789-died 1842,married Sophia Swanton in 1928 southwark.2 Henry born 1832 died 1892 married Margaret Revell in 1862 this is the marriage that is confusing as it says his father is Robert,is the name a registrars mistake.3 is Henry who married Margaret Mary egan.the family line is meant to be Henry 1 father of Henry 2 who is father of Henry 3.so who is Robert ?

Did you know George yard was one of the worst streets in London, the police would not go down it even when chasing someone,it was occupied by the poorest English,Irishand and Jewish families.
It's name was changed to Gunthorpe street, and Ripper victim Martha tabbard, was a frequent visitor there. Whitlock (Vanhackovens) family  (chat) hinted at Jewish ancestors maybe it was true.

In regards to Thomas son of (Henry whitlock) born 1873 his death on here is given 1926 or 1929.if you look at his daughter Esther Mary whitlocks marriage to John foreman in 1921.she put her father Thomas as dead.???

Hi all looking at Mary ann lynham date of birth 1838 she would have only been a child when William and Thomas were born in 1844and1849.
If so how would their realmother be found. Also How can the whitlocks and the Vanhackovens be on to different census records at the same time circa 1881? Maybe I am misreading the evidence presented, the Whitlock family web site shows them as being whitlocks seems strange, maybe the person who added them knew.thanks
