On your snippet, after the Chapel address it says ‘in …’
What does it say after that?
It says in the District of Rochdale, in the County of Lancaster

Thankyou everyone for all of your help and advice.
Sorry I have only just been able to reply.
The officiating minister reads Peter Provit/Procet/Procit (not the easiest to read)

Thanks Millipede
They are living in York Street in 1851 with the first of their children (Ephratah)
I've taken a snippet, as suggested, and have attached.
Many thanks

Please can you help?
I have a marriage certificate (1847) for John Brearley and Mary Butterworth. They give their residence at the time of marriage as Millers (or Millen) Street, Haywood and Hooley Bridge near Heywood.
The certificate says,  The Baptist Chapel, and what could then read, Holt St, but the writing is unclear.
Does anyone have any local knowledge
Many thanks

I can see it  :) ;D
I wouldnt have thought to overlay the 1888 map
Maybe only 600 feet below the building marked to the right of field no 21 (for Cribin farm) on the tithe map

Out of interest google maps shows a few images of Fannog farmhouse ruins when the water level has been low.

Thanks hanes teulu
I have been to Llyn Brianne a couple of times, but before realising the family connection, and not appreciating what was flooded to create the reservoir.
Looking on Parishmouse Wales and the topographical description, it says the the population (1800 -1850) doesn't rise above 150.
My 2nd great grandmothers father had died in 1834, and his wife had remarried and moved down a bit to LLanwrtyd. So no chance of finding them in LLandewi Abergwesyn in 1841.
I need to do a bit more research though, and expand the tree to see if there is any family connection to the Jones family in Cribin in 1841.

So would make absolute sense that somewhere around Gribin farm and alongside the stream were houses/farm outbuildings that could have been occupied by farm labourers and their families.

Of interest, an older sibling to Leah (William baptsised 1805) gives address as Clynglas.
The last child born in 1832 (Margaret) also gives abode as Gribbin- rhydd. Father now listed as a farmer. Nearly 30 years of having children!

Thanks so much again, for helping me unpick this.
Think another trip up to the reservoir in called for ;D
