Yorkshire (West Riding) / Re: where did annie giles go?

Hello all,
thanks for the replies and regarding the 'totter'bit you could very well have hit on her occupation not that I really know what a netter is! Yes I've had a look on the 1901 census but Annie is a very common name and so far I've had no luck. Thinking of trying tracing her aunt's and uncles marriages to see if anyone was kind enough to take her in after her Gran's death in1897

Will  press on regardless
Thanks again

Hi,
I believe my uncle,Arthur Giles was trainer/coach? for Leeds police boxing team in the 1930/40s period. Remember being taken to see him when I was only a young girl  in the 40s and he'd gone blind. Wondered if there was any sporting photos kept for that period.Where can I look for such?

Hello,
Wonder if anyone knows if there are any records kept of past staff of the above? My Gran worked asd a lady's maid to a Lady Onslow between 1872 and 1880 Not on the cencus records unfortunately. Is it possible there are staff records of the above kept in a local library or elsewhere? I have contacted the National Trust but they don't have any such ones Is it possible that the local library or other local places keep such old staff records? Mygran was born in 1860 so would have beenabout 13 when employed. She left the area with her father and married in Leeds in1882
