Hi,
Not sure if anyone is still researching. I believe Richard McGreevy & Sarah McGrath are my 4G grandparents.

Son John c1850 - 1909 who married Margaret Brunton in 1873 Belfast.
Had 11 Children (found via irishgeaneology)


Their son Thomas McGreevy c1887 married Jeaneatte Moane.

Daughter Annie b1914 married John Keenan.

I have Richard bc1825, parents Cornelius McGreevey & Anna/Nancy Timon.

I have dna matches on both Moane & McGreevey lines but still trying to confirm information. I would love to have confirmations to add to my tree if anyone would like to help out. My Irish branch of my tree has only relied on dna matches & Irishgeneaology records.

States place of birth as Herefordshire in the 1911 & 1939 census, but lived in Dorset.

She seems to be nowhere before this.

I’ve just checked the marriage certificate again.

Her father isn’t mentioned as deceased! I have no idea why I’ve had that in my head.

I have Annie’s Date of birth as 22 November 1888 from the census.

Marriage date is 4 May 1911

I believe this was after the census period in that year because she’s still Annie Lewis, living with Alfred Siddons

My Porters are mostly Dorset & Somerset born.
But we do believe there is Romany connections. If not Porter through Ironsides and Lovell.

Update - marriage certificate indeed has father as Robert Palfreymane, deceased. Shipwright.

The witness names are neither of their surnames. And I have an address for Jane which I assume would be where she was for 1881 census.
