Hi Sandra,

Sorry I have not replied earlier.

Thankyou yet again for your help.  I would never have found the children with their middle names, you amaze me how you found this out ;) My mother had always known them as Daisy & Leonard.
I wonder why both children were christened with one name and both decided to use their middle names.  This is why we find researching family trees hard ....they never gave us a thought that one day we would like to look into their past ;D

Regards
Gail

Warwickshire / Wallbank help please
« on: Saturday 19 December 09 19:57 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

My Great Aunt Beatrice Wallbank b 1882 in Dordon Warwickshire and her husband Albert Evans used to run The Wagon Load of Lime Pub in Ansley Nr Coventry for many years.  They married in 1905 and had three children Daisy, Leonard and Winnie.

My mom was born in 1931 and can remember these children when visiting the pub with her mother but I can not find their respective births/marriages or deaths.  :-\

My mom recalls that Daisy never married and died at aged approx 30, Leonard married and had two sons David & Keith and Winnie married a Bob Adkins and had a daughter called Daphne.

I assumed I had enough information to go on but I can't seem to locate them....can anyone help please???  ps there are lots of Wallbanks and my mom had lots of Aunts and uncles so I am getting very confused.

Many Thanks
Gail

HI all,

Does anyone know where I can find any info on Atherstone Workhouse?  :-[

I have a descendant Richard Wallbank born 1791 in Coleshill who could have been an inmate aged 80 in 1871.

Kind Regards and Merry Xmas to every Rootschatter.  :D

Hi Karen,

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you but been out all day. ;D

The area they lived in was London Middlesex Ontario.  His mother Sarah Brown lived at Elias st??? London so they could have lived with her I suppose.  His brothers and sisters also married in the Middlesex area.

Many Thanks

Gail
