Absolutely, Jan. I'll dig them up and send them through.

Thanks for these, Buckhind. Are they all death dates because if so, some other info I have for the women is incorrect. So it's good to know.

(Actually I have now sorted this - the dates fit nicely. Thanks.)

For what it's worth a couple of years from these posts, the Lieut. N.G.Weber mentioned in the newspaper article was my grandfather and he did speak about this rescue on a few occasions. Kath

I've read this series of posts with great interest. I remember Nell (daughter of Jessie Auld) from my childhood - as Aunty Nell. I didn't know how she was my "Aunty" but obviously I now know she was my grandpa's twin brother's wife. And I have photos of Jessie at my grandmother's wedding and mother's christening (I think). She was a Mort by then. And I have many half memories of strange stories told about Jessie.
But none of them can shed any light on the Kell mysteries in these posts I'm afraid.

Hi Krol - no, none of the names you mention mean anything to me apart from the fact that I have seen some Stewarts in a Morrison family from Dromore that I haven't managed to connect to ie. Mary Ann Morrison, daughter of Anthony Morrison, married James Stewart and had five children some of whom stayed in Dromore and some lived in Belfast. And additionally my grandmother Edith Morrison and her sister Maud Morrison worked in an irish linen factory in Dromore - not quite a cotton mill but related I guess.
Hi Ifajch - my William Lindsay and daughter Margaret also lived in Mile Bush Road at some point but I haven't found any connection to Poots other than I know that my grandmother knew some people with the surname Poots.

Antrim / Re: Robert Mauchlen and Jane Drysdale a 20 year gap.
« on: Sunday 28 March 10 04:52 BST (UK)  »
I don't have anything to add to your search and to the information below unfortunately because I came up blank on George Mauchlen born 30 Sep 1873 in my own search and just assumed he died as a child when the family moved to Antrim and before they moved to Lancashire. If your family is related to him somehow then we are very distantly connected through his grandmother Isabella McDougall.
I do have a bit more on the other children though if you want to compare notes.

Thanks everyone - mid to later 1860s seems to be the consensus. Now I just need to find out where it was taken and hopefully we can work from there.

I don't yet know who the photographer was but I am trying to get that information from the relative with the photo.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I agree that it is definitely happening on lookup boards but not here. If you right click on any link on the lookup board you get the message. I find it annoying but have generally managed to get around it.
