Thanks Carol, Yes, that was the details which alerted me to perhaps that this was the right Gladys? With the Reg birth of Ruby Gladys Violet now found  surname James , (although Janes has been translated as James in other records)  - mother Rogers does confirm it.  Also  there are alot of William Janes around the London area.  regards, Margaret

Thank you Neale 1961. You are right - I didn't pick up William in 1891 census and Horace in 1901 census are the same.  I have Horace's name - Wilfred Horace Stanley Janes (as in 1939 census) Reg B 1888 West Ham. There was also a younger daughter Daphne Gwendoline Dorothy Janes Reg B 1903 West Ham (called Gwen). Gwen and her husband visited us in NZ when I was a child.  Douglas Rupert Cecil died 1902 aged 1 year old. Pleased you think that Gladys  is probably Ruby Gladys Violet also. I will purchase Marriage Certificate to verify.  regards, Margaret

Gladys JANES born 1887 Stratford, Essex, daughter of William JANES and Mary HARRIET Eliza nee ROGERS.   I can't find a Registration Birth  for her ( noting her siblings were called by their second christian name) also her brother William born 1889 Stratford, Essex.  Gladys is in the 1891 and 1901 census with family at West Ham.
There is a marriage 9.11.1907 Forest Gate, Essex for a Ruby Gladys Violet JANES 21 yrs Father William JANES spouse James Ryan RORKE 27 yrs, Father Joseph Aloysius RORKE.
Seeking help is this could be Gladys- I am seeking? - before purchasing a Marriage Certificate.
Gladys & James RYAN- RORKE and family Cecily and Mabel emigrated to California.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. regards, Margaret, New Zealand.

Cecilia Maud Ansell Reg B 1891 Hambledon, Surrey , daughter of Levi Horlington Ansell and Ann Maria Peters.  1901 Maud 10 yrs born Shalford with parents.  1911- Maud 20 yrs B 1891 Guildford Kitchen maid  Servant at Kensington Palace. 
I am helping a friend - Cecilia is his Grandfather's sister. Can anyone help please - where did Cecilia get to after 1911?  Many thanks. Margaret.
