Thanks for replying.  I have the marriage cert but it gives no birth date or residence whatsoever. The only info is her father's name and occupation.  In the 1911 census I have them at Belgravia Ave Belfast, Minnie is recorded as aged 29 born in Co Fermanagh but I can find no  record of her circa 1880.

It's been over 2 years of fruitless searching and the trail is decidedly cold now so any help would be fantastic!

Fermanagh / LOOK UP REQUEST WILSONS OF COOLYERMER
« on: Thursday 02 March 06 01:18 GMT (UK)  »
WILLIAM WILSON, a farmer, had a son ROBERT b.circa 1837 who as a ship steward in BANGOR 1869 married MARY LOUISA BARKER b.1841.  Trying to ascertain if this is the same William Wilson who farmed in Coolyermer and may have married a MOLYNEUX.  This would knock down a brick wall I've been chipping away at for too long!!  I presume census info or parish records would hold some clues?  Any help would be appreciated.

Still looking for info re George Dawson, a basket manufacturer in Belfast.  His daughter, Minnie Emily, married FW Wilson in 1900 but I have no details re her family and cannot find a record of her birth.  Any info on the Dawson family is much needed, perhaps a street directory look up?

William Wilson was a farmer in Clandeboye at the time his son Robert, born circa 1837, married Mary Louisa Barker on 19/01/1869 (I have the marriage cert).  I'm trying to find info re the Wilson family.  There may be a MOLYNEAUX connection as the name was given to Robert's first born but this is speculative (perhaps William's wife's maiden name?)  I would appreciate if anyone could do a look up for the birth of Robert and the marriage of William.

Thanks so much for your advice.  I entered the Ulster Historical Foundation website and was about to pay my £10  search fee when I spotted a members list and found a cousin who I've been trying to trace since I started my search last year, I'd nearly given up hope after posting messages on SO many boards!! Seems he has a gap in his tree that I can fill and vice versa. I can't thank you enough!!!

Gillian.

Thanks so much for the advice.  Does it matter that I don't have any details about the Church or parish?  I do have the exact date and both names, is that enough?

Down / COMPLETED- PARISH MARRIAGE RECORDS. WILSON/BARKER
« on: Wednesday 09 February 05 21:53 GMT (UK)  »
Mary Louisa Barker born 1841 married Robert Wilson born 1839? on 19/01/1869 in Bangor.  I have no church noted so am unable to order a cert from GRO.  I have lots of info on the Barker family but nothing on the Wilsons so have hit a real stumbling block here, any ideas?

Thanks
Gillian
