Hi,

The Liverpool Echo, Wednesday June 24 1936

William Moore Gibson a general labourer of Tattenhall Road near Chester was accused at Birkenhead today of bigamously marrying Lily Lloyd on November 28 1935.

John Hudson deputy Town Clerk prosecuting said Mrs Flora Gibson met accused at Glasgow in 1920 and knew him at the time as James William James.    They were married in Glasgow in March 1920 and afterwards came to Liverpool.   She found his real name was Gibson and he had the marriage certificate altered.   On August 5 last Gibson left his wife and went to work at Caldy and later at Wrexham.

On November 28 added Mr Hutton, accused went through a form of marriage with Miss Lily Lloyd of Caldy, who understood him to be single.   Gibson who reserved his defence was committed for trial at Chester Assizes.   He was allowed bail.

Edna Mary Gibson was still alive in the 1930's.      I will send you a PM.
