Is anyone able to tell me where Trafalgar Square, in Draycott Moor, (now Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor in county of Oxfordshire) was situated c 1900?

I'd be grateful for any information.

Thank you

Pat W

Google very helpful. What's wrong with me? I should have done that myself!  Thanks again, Pat W

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Emigration to Pennsylvania by Welsh miners

Don't know where to post this so am starting here. I understand that lots of Welsh miners thought they would try their luck in the mines of Pennsylvania USA, can anyone tell me whether there exists a written social history of how things went? i.e. how families fared generally, rather than a history of mining. I'd be grateful for any information. Thanks, Pat W

Not a problem Liz, blame the Hales who, it appears, were born to spread confusion. Thank you for taking the time to look things up, I'd be no further forward at all without the help of rootschat.

Best wishes, Pat W

One more thing, someone asked me some time ago if I could locate Sherborne Mill, home of the Cross family. I cannot do so but they were resident for the 1841 and 1851 censuses, possibly longer. It should be possible to approximate a location from these records. Elizabeth's obituary describes the family as  resident in Sherborne Mill, near this town (Northleach, Glos).PW
